New Fashion Outlet Centre in Zevenaar
In Zevenaar, just over the German-Dutch border near Emmerich, construction activities for a new fashion outlet are in full swing. The outlet centre with a total area of 17,600 m2 is planned directly at the new Zevenaar exit of the A12/A3 motorway. With a high-quality and stylish appearance, the outlet will house a diverse range of clothing brands and restaurants. A new supermarket is planned opposite the fashion outlet, and many retail chains such as Ikea, Hornbach and Media Markt are already located near the outlet in Duiven. This area therefore offers an attractive range for a day of shopping. Fashion Outlet Zevenaar is expected to open its doors in the first quarter of 2022. This offers interesting opportunities for German retailers looking for a location in the Netherlands.
Planning by experienced partners
The Fashion Outlet is being developed by experienced partners STABLE International and Veluwezoom Verkerk. STABLE International was previously involved in the development of the outlet Batavia Stad, the redesign and expansion of the Rosada Fashion Outlet and the Fashion Outlet Halle-Leipzig. Veluwezoom Verkerk is a VolkerWessels company that was involved as a partner in the expansion of the Designer Outlet Roermond.
Ideal location on the German-Dutch border
Just 5 kilometres from the German-Dutch border and directly near the A12 motorway, the Fashion Outlet is conveniently located on the main traffic route between Germany and the Netherlands and is therefore very easy to reach. In addition, the A15 from Rotterdam will be extended to the A12 and both motorways will be widened to 3 lanes. In addition, a new exit is planned at the Fashion Outlet Centre. From the motorway exit, visitors will then drive within two minutes to the car park with a good 2,300 parking spaces.
Large catchment area on the German side
In addition to its optimal central location, the Fashion Outlet has an enormously large catchment area of up to 30 million inhabitants within a radius of 90 minutes by car. Even within a radius of 60 minutes by car, the catchment area is around 13 million inhabitants and within a radius of 30 minutes, there are still 2 million inhabitants. Add to this the numerous holidaymakers who visit the region, and this Fashion Outlet Centre has the best prerequisites to become the number one in the Netherlands.
The new Fashion Outlet Centre in Zevenaar will be a cause for celebration for many Germans who live close to the Dutch border and love shopping. Until now, they visited the Designer Outlet in Roermond, where more than fifty percent of the visitors are German. With the outlet centre in Zevenaar, they will not have to travel so far and they can also combine their shopping day with other big-box retailers in the area. The Fashion Outlet Centre Zevenaar will be open 364 days a year, only on New Year”s Day the doors of the outlet will be closed to visitors. This means that nothing stands in the way of an extensive shopping tour between the holidays.
